I have been teaching traditional Usui Reiki from both the Western (Takata) lineage for nearly 20 years, and the Japanese (Doi) lineage for 10 years.  Please note that I do not teach the Usui/Tibetan system developed by William Lee Rand.  Traditional Usui Reiki is a gentle healing energy, and is therefore suitable for virtually anyone to learn.

My Reiki 2 courses are held at only one venue - Stanton Guildhouse in the beautiful Cotswold village of Stanton in Gloucestershire, (between Broadway and Cheltenham).  It is possible to attend as either non-residential or residential, which I hope will help the many students who want to train with me, but live some distance away - and will also turn the course into a retreat-style experience.  I shall be teaching ONLY ONE REIKI 2 COURSE IN 2010, in July, which will begin at 6 pm on Friday evening, and end at approximately 6 pm on Sunday, and is open to a maximum of 10 students who must have already completed a Reiki 1 course at least 3 months beforehand.

Costs include a light supper on Friday evening, plus 2-course vegetarian lunches on Saturday and Sunday, and refreshments all weekend, plus a comprehensive manual and a Reiki Second Degree Certificate*.  Residential costs also include bed and breakfast on Friday and Saturday nights. The cost is £400 non-residential, or £470 including B&B in a single room, or £450 in a shared room.

JULY 2010 ~ 6 pm Friday evening 2nd to 6 pm Sunday 4th (SORRY, Booking now closed)

The Reiki Second Degree certificate is not awarded until the student has completed some case studies and returned their Practice Journal to me for assessment

Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique discovered in Japan in the 1920s which uses spiritual energy to treat the body without using pressure, manipulation or massage.  However, it is much more than a physical therapy - it is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of the person - body, mind, emotions and spirit.  This second level course is for people who want to extend their healing skills and deepen their understanding of Reiki and its uses for healing and spiritual development, whether for their own self-healing and personal growth, or as a professional Practitioner Level qualification.  The minimum prerequisite qualification is that students must have done a Reiki First Degree course already, at least 3 months beforehand, and must have some experience of using Reiki for self-treatment.

The Reiki Second Degree course is for people who want to deepend their understanding of Reiki and its uses for healing and spiritual development.  You are taught how to draw and use three sacred Reiki Symbols and their mantras (sacred names):

  • The Power (or Focus) Symbol;
  • The Harmony (or Mental & Emotional) Symbol;
  • and the Distant (or Connection) Symbol,

We will be discussing and practising a range of powerful techniques which use these symbols, such as a special form of hands-on treatment for deep healing of the mental and emotional causes of disease, and several forms of distant healing which enable you to “send” a full Reiki treatment to anyone, anywhere, at any time, with the same effectiveness as if that person was with you.  In addition we cover psychic protection, energy cleansing for yourself and for space clearing, healing personal issues, sending Reiki to the past and the future, using Reiki with crystals, and empowering goals and affirmations.

 There will also be an energy attunement (a spiritual empowerment from ancient Eastern traditions) to increase your inner healing channel, allowing more of the Reiki energy to flow through you.  There will be some meditation, demonstrations and practical sessions individually and in pairs for both hands-on and distant treatments, and time to practice and understand the other techniques.   A comprehensive manual is supplied, but some practice of the techniques after the course is required before a certificate can be issued.

To apply for a place on my Reiki 2 course in 2010, please initially email info@reiki-quest.co.uk, including your name and postal address, and when you did Reiki 1, so that I can send you the appropriate leaflet and booking form - thanks!
