! SPECIAL OFFER ! - SAVE £300!  Cost now reduced from £1,800 to £1,500, to include preparatory Apprenticeship Pack, telephone/email support, and 7-day residential course from Saturday 18th to Friday 24th September 2010 - see details below.

I have been a Reiki Master since 1994, and have spent those sixteen years not only practising and teaching Reiki, but also learning and researching as much as I can about it, so I believe I have a lot to offer to potential Reiki Master students.  (Please note that I teach traditional Usui Reiki from the Western Takata lineage and the Doi lineage from Japan, not the Usui/Tibetan system developed by William Lee Rand, even though I did study that method with him.)

I believe in high standards of teaching, so it is very important to me to ensure that any Reiki Masters I train are not only serious about and committed to Reiki, but are also fully prepared for their role as teachers of this amazing energy healing and spiritual development system.  I therefore limit the number of students to a maximum of ten, and have designed my Reiki Master training to encourage a great deal of inner reflection, personal development and spiritual growth.  The training is in two parts, to maintain the high standard of training and on-going support of the traditional "apprenticeship" system of Master training, together with an intensive 7-day residential course to both consolidate your previous learning (on Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 and during the apprenticeship), and to introduce the Master level material, such as the attunement processes.

PART ONE is an apprenticeship of at least 2 or 3 months (depending upon when you join the training group) where you will work through some preparatory material, mostly based on the theory and practice of Reiki First and Second Degree, with questions, tasks and activities, plus telephone and/or email support.

PART TWO is a 7-day fully residential workshop from Saturday 18th to Friday 24th September 2010, for a maximum of 10 students, at Caxton House on the Lincolnshire coast.

(ONLY 2 PLACES LEFT)

During the apprenticeship period there are preparatory distance learning materials designed to ensure you have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all the necessary theory and practice at Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 levels - because of course you will need this not only for yourself, but also in order to pass it on to any potential students you may have in the future.  You will be required to read and work through the Apprenticeship Pack, completing tasks, activities and answering questions which will then be submitted to me for assessment in advance of the September workshop, and there will also be regular email and/or telephone support from me.

In addition, during the 7-day residential workshop you will learn all the Master level techniques, including the attunement processes, and will receive your Usui Master attunement.  You will also have the chance to do a short session of teaching practice, both for assessment purposes and to help you to gain confidence in presenting in front of your fellow students.  There will be a comprehensive Reiki Master Manual which you will receive when you attend the workshop, and of course on-going support from me after you have completed your training.  Students who successfully complete both the apprenticeship and the workshop will receive a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master/Teacher Certificate, plus a complimentary copy of “The Reiki Manual” by Penelope Quest with Kathy Roberts.

Prerequisite Qualifications

Potential students must have a minimum of 2 (preferably 3) years experience of using Reiki at Second Degree level, and some of this experience should include time spent as a professional practitioner (ie treating clients, not just family and friends) on at least a part-time basis (eg evenings), because even a short time working as a practitioner will add depth and understanding to your teaching.  Having some qualifications or experience in teaching or training is strongly recommended, but is not a prerequisite, as some students take this course initially for their own spiritual development.  I also feel it is important for both Master and Master-student to establish a good working relationship, so I do prefer to teach people who have already done at least one course with me at either Reiki 1 or Reiki 2 level (or both), although I will consider other students if we can get to know one another through e-mails and phone calls.

The 7-day residential workshop will be held at Caxton House, (see above) near to the sea on the southern outskirts of Skegness, Lincolnshire, and will start with lunch on Saturday 18th, and end after lunch on Friday 24th September 2010.  It is fully residential, so it includes very comfortable accommodation (single occupancy of a double or twin room with ensuite or private bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities and flat-screen TV) with breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments every day (and the food is superb - Paul, who co-owns the hotel, is a former head chef at Lloyds of London!).

The total cost of the Reiki Master/Teacher Training including the distance learning materials, the telephone/email support during your apprenticeship, the 7-day residential workshop, the Reiki Master Manual and the Reiki Master/Teacher Certificate, plus post-training support, is £1,800 per person, including an initial payment of £400.  SPECIAL OFFER - price reduced to £1,500!  Once the initial payment has been received you will be sent the preparatory distance learning materials and can begin your apprenticeship.  The balance then has to be paid by 24th August.   However, after the initial payment has been made the rest of the fee can be paid in regular instalments, if you wish, so please do discuss this with me if you would find that useful.

There are some details about what I include in my Reiki Master courses on the following web pages:  About Being A Reiki Master; Master Course Content; Preparing For The Course

For every potential Master student, a reasonable familiarity with all the techniques in my book "Reiki For Life" will be needed, as many of these will be discussed and practised on the Master course, and all of them will be useful in your own Reiki self-healing, treatments on others, and future teaching. Reading my other books : "The Basics of Reiki"; "Self Healing With Reiki" and "Living The Reiki Way" would also be helpful for you. In addition, some personal preparation beforehand is recommended, such as  meditation, energy cleansing work, self-awareness exercises and reading some inspirational books (see "Preparing For The Course" web page).  After your application for the course has been accepted, you will be sent the preparatory manual, ie Reiki Master Apprenticeship Pack, and can begin your apprenticeship.
