The Residential element of my Reiki Master Training, and my 4-day Summer Solstice Retreat for Reiki Masters are both being held on the Lincolnshire coast, at Caxton House on the southern outskirts of Skegness, which is owned by two friends of mine, Paul Seabrook and Wendy Cresswell.  Paul is a qualified chef (a former head chef at Lloyds of London), and has provided the absolutely delicious vegetarian/vegan catering for all my past Reiki Master courses, both at Caxton House and before that at The Quest Centre when I lived in the Lake District, and Wendy is one of the Reiki Masters I have trained, so I know that their hotel/retreat centre is the ideal venue for my residential advanced courses in 2010.  (The feedback from last year's students was "Excellent - can't wait to come back!"; "Paul and Wendy are such lovely people, and the rooms are really comfortable"; and "Absolutely superb food - never had such amazing vegan meals!)

It is only a 2 minute walk across the sand dunes to a beautiful sandy beach that stretches for miles, leading down to Gibraltar point, an RSPB nature reserve, yet it is only a 10 to15 minute walk into the seaside town of Skegness.  Further up the coast is Donna Nook, where in late autumn grey seals visit the beach to pup, and of course there are other coastal resorts to visit, plus the beauty of the Lincolnshire countryside to explore.

The hotel has 12 bedrooms, mostly doubles or twins, all with tea/coffee making facilities, flat-screen TV and en-suite or private shower room, and some with sea views.  However, I have exclusive use of the whole hotel for my courses and retreats, so each person on both the Reiki Master/Teacher Course and the Summer Solstice Retreat for Reiki Masters will have their own room, as a personal quiet space for meditation and reflection.

In addition, there is a dining room, a bar and a comfortable lounge with a cosy fire, a large function room where we hold our group sessions, plus a patio and a conservatory for sunny days or cooler evenings.

[Please note, if you have any allergy issues, that Paul and Wendy have a dog and a cat on the premises, both very friendly and very “chilled out” on Reiki and sea air, but they are not allowed into the residents’ bedrooms!]

The hotel is also easy to get to, being only one mile from both the railway station and coach station, and by car, just a few minutes' drive from the main roads into Skegness - the A52 or A158.  There is a hotel car park, and further parking on the quiet road outside.
