Dr Usui taught many techniques for healing, energy cleansing, meditation and spiritual development which were not included in Reiki training in the West until 2000, as they were only revealed to Westerners for the first time in the late 1990s.  For anyone who has trained in Western Reiki traditions these are the “missing link” between the practical healing techniques taught in the West, and the spiritual and energy practices of the East.

SHINPIDEN COURSE FOR REIKI MASTERS

From 6 pm Friday evening 15th to 10 am Monday morning 18th October 2010 at Stanton Guildhouse, Stanton, Gloucestershire

Fully residential, £600 (SORRY, THIS COURSE IS NOW FULLY BOOKED)

This residential weekend course is intended for qualified Usui Reiki Master/Teachers with at least one year’s experience at that level, and it will qualify you as a Shinpiden, the Japanese Master level.  The course is very practical, including plenty of time to learn and practice the Reiki techniques taught in Japan for the Shoden, Okuden and Shinpiden levels, so that you will be able to teach them to your students. You will find out about the continued development of Reiki in Japan (Usui Reiki Ryoho), learn the Reiki Principles in Japanese, and discover the importance of cleansing and clearing your energies when you practice Reiki, using the methods Kenyoku-ho, Hatsurei-ho and the Reiki Shower.  You will learn some valuable traditional techniques to add to your practice for both self-healing and working with clients, family and friends, including Usui’s five hand positions for the head, Zento-bu, Koutou-bu, Enzui-bu, Sokuto-bu, and Touchu-bu, as an alternative full treatment.

A comprehensive range of other techniques will be taught, such as using Reiki on the sub-conscious for releasing bad habits, or “deprogramming” negative thinking (Seiheki Chiryo and Nentatsu-ho), for sensing imbalances (Byosen Reikan-ho) and for sensitising your hands and letting Reiki guide them (Reiji-ho), for removing physical, mental and emotional toxins from the body (Tanden-Chiryo-ho and Gedoku-ho), and Jaki Kiri Joka-ho, a technique to purify negative energy in objects.  You will also learn a number of alternative ways of using the hands with Reiki for deep healing, such as tapping, patting and stroking (Uchi-Te-Chiryo-ho, Nade-Te-Chiryo-ho, Oshi-Te-Chiryo-ho).

In addition, there will be the chance to sensitise your energies in a group (Reiki Mawashi), share a group treatment (Shuchu Reiki), learn a powerful treatment for your whole body (Heso-Chiryo-ho), as well as techniques for relaxation and grounding (Hanshin Chiryo-ho and Hanshin Koketsu-ho), and special ways of using the breath and the eyes to focus Reiki (Koki-ho and Gyoshi-ho), plus methods for reducing fever and discovering the root or cause of a disease (Genetsu-ho and Byogen Chiryo-ho).  You will also learn the Kotodama—sacred sounds linked to the Reiki symbols—and will have several opportunities to experience a special attunement from the Japanese lineage called “Rei-ju” , which increases the power and flow of Reiki and enhances spiritual development, and you will be taught how to carry out these special Japanese empowerments, the Reiju, Power Reiju and Self Reiju attunements, for use with your students, and for yourself.  There will also be discussion on how to teach each of the methods, and how to incorporate them into your courses or Reiki shares.

The course is fully residential, so the cost (£600 per person) includes accommodation for 3 nights, all meals and refreshments, a comprehensive manual and a Shinpiden Certificate.  To apply for a place, please email info@reiki-quest.co.uk indicating which course you are interested in, and giving your name and postal address so that we can send you the relevant leaflets and booking form - thanks!
